What to Expect During Your Remodel

I Want a Remodel… Now What?

The majority of homeowners only go through one or two remodels in their life. That means if you’re reading this page, it’s likely that you’ve never experienced a remodel before. The process can seem confusing and intimidating.

Don’t let uncertainty hold you back! At Noble Construction, we will take care of you every step of the way. Here is a very basic overview of what to expect during your remodel.

The Consultation

Start by requesting a free, no-pressure consultation. One of our friendly and knowledgeable customer specialists will come out to your home to discuss your project. This is your opportunity to tell us exactly what you want to change and your budget.

At Noble Construction, we believe in treating our customers with respect and honesty. We can let you know exactly what is and isn’t possible within your budget or how much you need to budget if you want to check all the boxes on your list. (Did we mention that we offer financing options?)

The Price Quote

Based upon your wishes, Noble Construction will develop a plain English price quote for your remodel. We invite you to compare our quote with other design and remodel firms. We’d also be happy to review other price quotes to ensure that you get an apples-to-apples comparison.

Create the Plans

Working closely with you (and your architect if needed), we will create the plans for your project. This will let you actually start to see what the outcome will look like so we can make sure we’re on the same page.

Time with the Design Team

For most of our customers, their favorite part of the process is meeting with one of our talented and creative design coordinators who will help you choose all the finishes for your project. This includes everything from paint colors, to light fixtures, cabinet countertops, furnishings, and décor. This is where you can really personalize your remodel.

Pulling Permits

Behind the scenes, Noble Constructions teams will handle all the paperwork and pull all the necessary permits to ensure that we have the proper permission to perform your remodel. With all our experience, we know how to quickly and efficiently navigate this process.

Demolition

Now comes the part that everyone imagines when they think remodel. We’ll bring in dumpsters and start taking down walls, cabinets, and whatever else needs to come out. Before the demo starts, we take time to painstakingly protect everything in your house and isolate the remodel.

The demo stage is where, most often, we run into surprises that affect the timeline and budget of the project. We might discover termites or water leaks or find out that a previous owner performed unlicensed work that must be addressed.

Builder Trend

At Noble Construction, we are committed to providing excellent communication with our customers. We do that by using a very special program called Builder Trend. This program lets you keep track of every stage of the remodel from your computer, tablet, or phone. At the end of each day, the foreman will take pictures of the work and include notes on the project. You can then mark up the pictures and ask questions through the program and get a swift answer. With Builder Trend, you can see and control every step of the project.

The Work Gets Done

After the demo, we start rebuilding. This may require us to call in one of our highly vetted and experienced sub-contractors for specialized work (like plumbing or electrical work).

Behind the scenes, our team will order all the materials you chose with our design team and ensure that they arrive on time. It is a difficult dance at times to make sure the right sub-contractors and materials show up exactly when they’re needed. That’s why great organization and attention to detail matter!

The Walkthrough

After the last tile is placed, the paint is dry, the light bulbs are screwed in, and the new decorative pillows fluffed, we take you on the walk through. This is our favorite part where we introduce you to your newly remodeled space. Most of the time our customers are outrageously happy, but if anything isn’t exactly right, we will go in and fix it. The walkthrough is your chance to make any final changes and ensure that you love every inch of your remodel.

One Year Warranty

We stand by all the work that we do. If, after a few days, weeks, or months you realize that you aren’t happy with some aspect of the remodel, let us know, and we’ll come back and fix it. We offer our customers a one-year warranty on all our work. Enjoy that peace of mind.

We look forward to hearing from you.
